Lutheran Women's Missionary League
(LWML)
The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), with a membership of over 250,000 is the official women's organization of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. For 60 years this organization has been encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to financially support global missions.
Mission Statement: The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.
Mite boxes are used to collect money for missions. Twenty-five percent of the Mite offering is sent to International LWML for mission grants and the remaining seventy-five percent is used for district mission grants. These grants are selected by delegates at district and national conventions.
Local LWML meetings are held at 7:00 P.M. on the fourth Monday of January, March, July, September, November, and on the Monday before Memorial Day weekend in May. All meetings are held in St. Paul's Fellowship Hall and begin with devotion and Bible study. Mission projects, speakers, videos ingatherings, and the collection of mites are part of the yearly program.
Serve the Lord with gladness. Psalm 100:2
